As you know, the stretch of Lake Sharon is under construction. Vicki Davis has been working with the City of Corinth and the Contractors to improve the medians of the stretch of road that divides phase 1 and phase 2 of Cypress Pointe Estates
Vicki has worked with the City of Corinth and the Contractors to have them add on to the existing CPE irrigation system so that trees can be planted in these medians. They plan to plant about 7 trees per median. The trees they will plant will be Live Oak and Red Oak trees. These are the same trees they have planted in the medians off of Meadow Oaks and they look really nice.
Mr. Brown also told me that they are hoping to add two new street signs / lights. One at the bottom by Blue Holly and another one down by Oakmont. These will be the same lights as the ones off of Meadow Oaks.
Vicki has also worked with the contractor to move some of the large landscaping rocks down to the bottom of the median and will allocating the money from the 2010 tree drive fundraiser to add some landscaping around the rocks and also shrubs or flowers in the medians by the crepe myrtels.

Hooray! Easier access to Flowermound and an alternate route in the event of major 35e hwy closures! I just went out and test drove it and literally made it to 407 in about 7 minutes cruising at about 45 (*posted limit is 40*). It seems that it will be enforced by hickory creek and highland village so I would be really cautious and use your cruise control!
It also appears that it would be a very scenic path for jogging cycling. There are some pedetrian path ways and then sections with none. I’m not sure if that will come in later or what the plans are but either way I’m super pumped about it.

Over the course of the next week I will be completely revamping the CPE website. This new platform should allow more people to get involved and become more active in the cpe project if they wish to. Please bear with me for the next few days as I rebuild the website!

Post Oak / Lake Sharon Intersection – Closed 10/11/2010 for approximately six weeks. During the intersection closure Lake Sharon Drive between Blue Holly Drive and Parkridge Drive will be closed. Detour routes will be Meadowview Drive and Creekside Drive. The Cypress Pointe Estates VOA is working with the contractors that are in charge of this project and the City of Corinth to expand Cypress Pointe Estates irragation system into the center medians of Lake Sharon between Post Oak and Oakmont so that we can provide adequate irrigation to support the addition of trees in the center median in the near future.
Vicki Davis is currently organizing a fundraiser selling baked goods / cookies from a local vendor. 100% of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to a “Tree Fund” so that we can continue to improve the aesthetics of our neighborhood.
